Pianist Ashlyn Batten will be performing for the Campbell community Jan. 30 at 8 p.m. in the Scott Concert Hall.
Batten will be playing some of her favorite pieces by Bach, Beethoven, Rachmaninoff and Ginastera.
As a passionate pianist, she has been playing the piano since she was four years old with the loving reassurance of her family.
“I wouldn’t be a piano major if it wasn’t for their encouragement and support,” Batten said.
Batten handpicked each song.
She said, “I enjoy them each for different reasons.”
Her professor, Dr. Richard McKee said he expects an exciting performance.
“She likes to make the music move. Her fast playing has exciting rhythm and drive. Expect a very enjoyable recital with a wide range of styles and a great deal of emotional expression,” McKee said.
The recital is free and open to the public.
